The Ultmate All Purpose Excuse #12

The day I was late for school because I got eaten by a dolphin

   You will never be able to guess what happened to me this morning on my way to school. I WAS EATEN BY A DOPLHIN. And that’s why I’m all wet. I had to go feed the fish this morning like I do every Tuesday. If I don’t do it they will starve to death and I couldn’t let that happen. The problem was I had to walk to Jones Beach all the way from Massapequa because both of my parents cars broke down and I’m a lame 18 year old that can’t drive. It was a LONG WALK and I almost got ran over by a car on my way.

   When I finally got there I had to sneak into the beach because it was closed. Getting past security was very easy because they were all asleep. I ran too the beach, into the ocean and started swimming. I gave food to every fish that I passed by. I had to make sure that each fish was getting the same amount or else that wouldn’t be fair. But what I didn’t know was that I fed a dolphin the wrong food on accident and he was ticked off. I started swimming away as fast as I could but the dolphin was following me. He eventually caught up with me and ATE ME WHOLE. I was petrified!

   I was lounging around in his stomach for an hour. He told me that I didn’t taste very good but he was hungry. I then suddenly had a good idea, to befriend the dolphin! The dolphin and I had a nice causal conversation about pollution. I told him that if he threw me up I would bring him food tomorrow. He said okay, and I was free. It was pretty disgusting actually but I was glad to finally be out of there. I gave the dolphin a hug and was on my way to school. I had to walk all the way back and that’s why I was late.

Advice to the Young #41

         

                Everyone has had their own experiences in life whether they are good or bad. We are the only people who control our lives and can direct ourselves where we are going to go. Its up to no one but ourselves. It's true that we don't know what can happen in the future but we have the power to guide ourselves in any direction we want. As humans we make mistakes and everyone falls on their face at one point or another. But the trails and obstactles of life should not stop us from following our dreams.
           
                 In the short 18 years I've been alive I've learned a lot but I still have a lot more learning to do. I am still young and I have my whole entire life ahead of me. I have the whole world in my hands and it's up to me what I decide to do with it. The best advice I can give to those younger than me is to never stop dreaming. Dream as big as you want and set goals for yourself. Don't let anyone get in your way and find what makes you happy as a person. Surround yourself with positive people and don't let ANYONE bring you down. Take chances and grap opportunities. Don't ever give up on yourself and just be you.

Unfinished Sentences # 14

I usually worry about my future. Sometimes I make up random scenarios in my head and make myself go crazy. I’ll lie awake at night just thinking about where I’m going to be in 5 years . Who am I going to meet? Will I have changed a lot? Will I even like myself? It makes me anxious and it gives me anxiety. There are so many possibilities.

I feel angry when people are negative about everything. Why are there so many negative people in this world? Why so more people hate rather than love? If we learn to love more and hate less the world would be a better place.

I’m moody when people talk too much, such as my mom. She will just ramble on and on and on about something so random and irrelevant to the point where I want to tell her to shut up. But she’s my mom so I can’t. I love my mom so much but she loves to talk. Sometimes I’ll want to say something and I won’t be able to because she talks over me. It is so irritating and it puts me in a bad mood.

I’m happiest when the sun is shining. I know that sounds really cliché but it’s so true. When the sun is out and it’s a nice day, it makes everything better. People say that with who and what you surround yourself with has an impact on how you feel emotionally.

I feel confident when I’ve accomplished a major goal. When I got induced into honor society, I was so happy and proud of myself. Or when I participate in activities that I enjoy such as the drama club. I love acting and singing and I’m extremely passionate about it. The happier and more positive I am the more confident I feel.
